This is really not doing it for me right now in my frequently sleep-deprived state. Keeping track of the criminal conspiracy conversations is a bit much. The world is interesting and clearly well thought out. There is some gratuitous rape right at the beginning with the intent to titillate, which should make an intelligent person cringe. Characterization seemed weak, though I didn't read the second half, so I could be wrong. Some very nice description in parts.
