It was a good book. But I am deducting one star because nothing felt resolved. I felt like it was only half a book. I recall feeling this way at about book 5 or 6 in Dimitri and Rose's story as well. The story progressed, and decisions were made, but SO much was left unresolved. I felt like it was an artificial stopping point, and that annoyed me.

I still recommend these books - although read the Vampire academy books first if you want things in order - but be prepared for the fact that the story is the whole series. The books don't stand alone.
