well, he pulls it all together in this book.... And I really enjoyed the series, but somehow the final book left me a bit flat. The kid's super powers are now so overwhelming that you can't imagine them failing. When the aliens finally show up, they are not as tough as you'd expect them to be... given they are genetically modify like the kids and they've had years to get their skills. And Finally what is never explained is how Jack is such a badass.

Oh well.. was a great ride ..
