Finished Beyond the Black Door yesterday. The book had beautiful writing, alluring scenes of walking through souls-as-houses and a lovely world. There were some YA tropes (especially of the vaguely medieval fantasy world-building kind) but the plot, writing and world outweighed the negatives.

Also, solid ace representation which made my little heart sing. So rare to see in books (and the reason I picked up this book).
