Wanted to start reading again after a very long period of only reading tech-related things, as well as doomscrolling.

Used to enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, classical and other literature — though was reading almost only in Russian, now trying to read some things in English as well — much more choices, but quite a slower pace of reading for me, haha.

Megan Lindholm: The Windsingers (2002, Voyager)

I think this was my favorite book in the series — expands on the world a bit, introduced some new characters, had rather interesting pacing switching between two characters — don't remember if there was anything that I disliked.

As with the first book, some glimpses of unknown and not-your-traditional fantasy were present, making it quite a fresh look at how these kinds of stories could be told.

Megan Lindholm: The Limbreth Gate (1984, Ace)

I think I liked this one a bit less than the second book in the series — maybe would write one day the exact reasons why.

Overall, really liked some of the unusual elements and the potential ways things could be interpreted — as with the previous books in this world, things got quite weird, maybe even weirder than before.

So far, I like it less than previous books in the series, but we'll see — the final impression could depend a lot on how it would end, especially given it is the last book in the series.

(Actually, don't remember when exactly I did start reading it, almost finished it — but won't change the date, as I really don't remember, haha.)
