I was recently talking to someone about this book. I spent years with debilitating back pain and I was only in my 20s at the time. I was frustrated because I could never figure out why I was at times having back pain that left me lying on the living room floor. I heard about this book on a talk radio show and after trying all sorts of things from chiropractic to my family doctor I gave this book a shot. This book changed by life.

As soon as I was partially through the book I began to just do things that before I was afraid to try anymore, I went back to traditional strength training, deadlifts and barbell squats, all things I avoided, I avoided anything that might tax my back for fear of being barely able to walk, because in the past they had, although I told myself they would before I did them.

Twenty years later this book came up in conversation with a new friend, as it has many times over the years. I am still doing strength training and now I even run marathons and my back is no longer an issue.
