I'm a big Jodi Picoult fan but recently, I've been a bit disappointed by her works. I tend to blur all her books together, unsure of which is which. They all follow the same formula. Although Second Glance follows it as well, I find this novel significantly different. Maybe because it's about ghosts, maybe because there's no trademark Jodi Picoult trial, or what. I'm not sure what it is but I love it.

Although I solved the "mystery" rather early in the book (Lia and Cecilia? Come on, even I picked that up!), I was still surprised at the ending. Twists and turns is something Jodi Picoult is famous for! I do wish I got a better understanding of the characters though, even with Picoult's distinct voices for each of them. Then again, there's no such thing as a perfect book after all!
