Lovely book. Gets a bit dross in between, but the ending (crime explanation) is totally a shocker! Loved it!

Ah, finally done after 12 weeks! 🤭 A superb read of 933 pages. Totally recommended, especially if you understand/want to understand Indianness. :)
One final quote from the last paragraph:
Love: the passionate search for a truth other than our own. Longing: the pure, ineffable yearning to be saved.

Excited and scared about this book. After all, it's a thousand page read! :)
The first edition is the third edition! (The author had to rewrite it twice, after prison guards destroyed the manuscript the first two times)
If it took him that much willpower to write it, I should muster enough to read it, at the least! 🤞

Superb read! Though I doubt if it would be any relatable to others outside of the Indian context, it sure as hell was a swell read to me!
4 lessons:
- Always scour for opportunities, and grab'em as you find'em
- Be yourself, and don't give up on your dreams, ever
- You only have and need yourself
- Don't be stuck in the Rooster Coop :)
