I am truly envious of Ms. Webb (or North, or whatever) for her remarkable ability to paint a world in so few strokes, and make it so that where she has left no paint, what remains is not a hole or a vacuum, but a mystery.
Beautifully written and conceived, this short book and the triptych to which it belongs is shaping up to be my favourite of all time.
