I met one of my seniors last week on his professional tour to London, whom I can't name here but would like to write about.

From a small village where opportunities were limited and where there was no electricity until five years ago, where dreams often go unrealized, he shifted to his district headquarters when he was in class 7. He lived independently in an isolated single room with a shared toilet and open bathroom, and he spent years studying in a government school/college. Once he graduated, at the very young age of 20, he embarked on a journey that would redefine his future.

Armed with an unyielding determination, he dove into the world of information technologies. Starting from scratch with a desire to become a valuable employee someday, he reached Delhi.

Those early days of his were filled with challenges. Without even having a computer or laptop, he taught himself the intricacies of networking and computer science in cybercafes and taught schoolchildren to earn money. Late nights and countless errors became his norm, but each setback was met with renewed determination.

Years of unwavering dedication began to yield fruit. He transitioned from small freelance gigs to more substantial roles, each one honing his expertise. His relentless work ethic and innovative solutions didn't go unnoticed. He ascended the professional ladder, evolving from a system admin into a highly sought-after expert. His adeptness at tackling complex problems and leading teams garnered him respect and recognition in the tech industry.

As a seasoned architect and IT head of a 2000+ company, his story inspires many like me today. I first met him in 2006 when I was in my final years of graduation. I was also about to leave my hometown and go to Kolkata and was planning to learn computer networking. Although he was in his early career, his journey illuminated the indomitable power of resilience and passion.

I also went through a similar journey for the next 10+ years. But …
