Okay. IMO, more Terror than Magic.
Some of those novels are clearly hard to read. A bit literally, but also some themes are triggering (for loss of a better word).
I have been able to finish it by reading some non-fiction between each story. Not for the depressed or anxiety-ridden reader. I might have given it a higher rating if I read it some other time with a different mood.
