@Todd654 Excellent book, a great followup for readers of Marc Reisner’s “Cadillac Desert”. California’s cycles of drought and deluge are the rule, not exceptions. We’d better start dealing with that reality instead of wishing it would go away.

Mark Arax also co-authored “The King of California,” an in-depth look at the Boswell family empire in the Tulare Lake region. Highly recommended.
