Others have said what I think. The book felt less discworld and more roundworld. Lots of the set scenes felt sketchy as though there was more to write but it just hadn't happened. Many of the long standing characters, including my favourite, Vimes, pop into the story almost as after thoughts and they don't seem to be themselves...more a shadow of themselves. The usual plot twists and turns felt simpler.

It was sad reading this book after Terry had died. Knowing he'd been so ill. But it wasn't a great book. It just felt lost, bland.
