Rebel Rebel Girls: Rebel Girls Mean Business (2022, Rebel Girls) 5 stars

Review of 'Rebel Girls Mean Business' on 'Goodreads'

5 stars

Rebel Girls have never let me down with their books which mix beautiful illustrations and information about inspiring women in various ways, whether that be sport, history, environmental and climate work, and now, with Rebel Girls Awesome Entrepreneurs? The world of business.

Every book I have read so far has allowed me to learn more about someone and this was no exception as I hadn't heard of any of the women featured. Each woman's life is briefly explored on a page and Rebel Girls always succeed in providing a seriously large amount of information in a short amount of space, and as I have said there is a unique portrait of the specific woman alongside the biography.

Where Rebel Girls always succeed is they don't make learning difficult for the reader, words that may be difficult, (such as entrepreneur in this book) are explained at the end of the book and it doesn't feel like the books are impossible for a child to read with the series being designed for 7-12-year-olds, though those at the younger end of the scale may need a little assistance.

This series is a must for any child's bookshelf regardless of their gender as they're brilliant for educational purposes as well as casual non-fiction reading. Whilst I understand they are geared to girls, there is always something to learn in every book and these would be a love excellent base for homework, curiosity etcetera.

At the end of Rebel Girls Awesome Entrepreneurs, along with the explanations of the more difficult words is sections for the child to fill in, with them to explore the kind of business they would like to run etcetera- something that could, for example, be expanded on in a classroom.

With the additional option to scan a QR code to gain access to the Rebel Girls app where you can learn more about the featured women? Rebel Girls will have another success on their hands.

Now, I wonder what is next from this clever publishing group?
