I have books I intend to read but bad reading habits for actually getting around to them.

My books on here aren't all my books but are just ones that are relevant to my reading activity in recent years.

finished reading Make Your Own Magic by Amanda Lovelace

bonus book finished for the year, i guess.

this witchcraft stuff isn't really for me, but this is a nice little self-help book, taking inspiration from "magical" items and practices as well as natural cycles of time and other sources of meaning and inspiration, in order to do things like improving one's own sense of self worth, assessing one's life, working through challenges, and motivating action.

Wasn't quite feeling it at first, but I'm glad I finished.

Unexpected marathon session at the end. But it got done.

Vampires, pop music, and bits of Chinese-American heritage. Put together in an interesting story.

finished up to chapter 22

seriously this is like Ms. Vampire Who Lives In My Neighborhood except it's drama instead of feelgood slice-of-life

also the lead character is the vampire and it's in california rather than japan and she tries to hide the fact that she's a vampire and she's not as old as sophie is etc. etc.

(but at least the werewolves are still fictional!)
