Avid reader of books both lofty and pedestrian… but mostly somewhere in the middle. Love hearing what others think about what they’re reading and responding in kind. Fave genres include contemporary fiction, mysteries (mostly series), some sci fi, some fantasy, some romance. Also, @PlatinumWarlock@mindly.social

Ugh… this book has so many characteristics that should make me love it, but it’s not happening. Maybe I have reader’s block? (Which has literally NEVER happened to me.) Is that even a thing? Nothing bad, just nothing great. Somewhat predictable, and I didn’t find the surprising parts to be very believable. I liked Olivia, but none of the other characters really spoke to me. Also, a major plot point involved the Bermuda Triangle, but there was little to no actual information about the Bermuda Triangle… it seemed like a lost opportunity. 3/5 stars.

This was fun - interesting plot and characters, and I like the present-day setting. It’s rather short, which at first left me feeling like I wanted to know a lot more about the characters, but it’s the first in a series of five or so, so it looks like I’ll get the chance.
