Review of 'To Sir Phillip, With Love' on 'Goodreads'

This is part of the Bridgertons series, eight stories for a family of eight children, but it's also a companion of sorts to the fourth book in the series, Romancing Mr. Bridgerton. That book sees Eloise comfortable with the knowledge that she and her best friend Penelope will probably be spinsters together, but then Penelope falls in love and marries Colin Bridgerton. Eloise starts hiding something from her friend and then runs away from London while everyone else is distracted by Colin and Penelope.

This book takes over from there, explaining that Eloise has been corresponding with Sir Philip Crane, the widower of her cousin, and has decided to head to Sir Philip's country house to pursue a possible engagement. Except that she hasn't told Philip that she's coming -- oops! But that's okay because Philip hadn't mentioned that he's the father of 8-year-old twins. Hilarity ensues!
