Thomas Cathcart, Thomas Cathcart, Daniel Klein: Plato and a platypus walk into a bar-- (Paperback, 2008, Penguin Books)

This New York Times bestseller is the hilarious philosophy course everyone wishes they'd had in …

Fun little introduction to Philosophy

The book goes very quickly over some of the different branches of philosophy. It does this by using cheesy jokes to explain different concepts. It's nowhere in depth but might be a good introduction for someone who just discovered philosophy

Shirow Masamune: The Ghost in the Shell 1.5 Deluxe Edition (Hardcover, Kodansha Comics)

More stories from the GitS universe

It's a good anthology of stories involving Section 9 characters working on cases. Where the 2nd graphical novel felt like a overly horny fanfic around the Major, this one feels more in the style of the original. If you are a fan of the original Graphic Novel, this is more of that

Vincke & Verstuyft in Amerika

Vlotte lezer

Dmitry Glukhovsky: Metro 2033 (2011)

Metro 2033 (Russian: Метро 2033) is a 2002 post-apocalyptic fiction novel by Russian author Dmitry …

The game has more depth than the book

I don't know if this was an issue with the translation. But the book felt like it was trying to convey some interesting takes on post apocalyptic (and contemporary) society but fell flat i n doing so. Narratively it is Artiom through the rabbit hole where the story feels more like a series of weard and wacky encounters than a consistent story. Again this might be due to translation errors but my Russian is not good enough to compare. Not my favourite but I read worse.

Barrington J. Bayley: Eye of Terror (Paperback, 1999, Black Library)

Eye of Torror Review

A easy read and a great starting point to Warhammer 40K lore. On the other had the rather small book is trying to explain a lot about the Warhalmer 40K universe that it becomes "tell don't show" at times.

Yuval Noah Harari: Homo Deus (Paperback, 2017, Vintage Books)

Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow (Hebrew: ההיסטוריה של המחר, English: The History of …

Accesible brain food

Where "Sapiens" explores trends and tendensies of humanity throughout history. This book tries to go a step further and asks the question where the course of said human history will lead us in the coming decades and centuries. It's an easy read while still trying to be a scientificly based work. Of course the topics in this book are not as in depth as they can or should be as this would probably make it less readable. In all it's a great read for people who like to think about philisophocall themes but generally don't enjoy meaty nonfiction works.
