3.5 stars, really. I had been looking forward to continuing Tris' story in this dystopian fiction world for young adults. Unfortunately I thought it was a much weaker title than Divergent. It's not the fault of the story, I liked the direction of the plot and the solution to how this strange system of factions and Divergent came about. What I didn't like was that Tris was pretty much emo from the first to the last page in the book, in a way that felt over the top to me. Not once is she trying an honest approach, it's all about her keeping silent, lying and then being wrecked with guilt forevermore. That was tiresome.

I will read the next one anyhow, but I hope Tris will be back to strength again.
