Jledwell reviewed Program or be Programmed by Douglas Rushkoff
Review of 'Program or be Programmed' on 'Goodreads'

What a disappointment. Program or Be Programmed is full of obvious observations of the recent technological past, delivered in an awkward mix of elitist views (the command line is very easy!) and attempted populist appeals to family values and patriotism.
The book is meant to be a reflection on humans and computers, but I can't imagine a thoughtful reader who would find its familiar platitudes satisfying. I can't tell who the intended audience might be, but it's surely not me.
