I finished this book, but only because I don't like abandoning books, and they have to be really horrible for me to abandon them. But I couldn't get into this book. I wasn't invested in Hadrian, and it didn't really start to get interesting until the last quarter of the book. Maybe the second book is better, but I haven't decided if I'll read it yet.
