Last year I received a death threat online. Some fascist German MAGA excuse for a human wanted me dead.

I then spoke with @hateaid, a German organization that helps people who are threatened or abused online or by hate speech.

I coincidentally heard many stories of people who were threatened much worse than I was, whose life was turned into a living hell. We absolutely do need organizations like HateAid, nowadays more than ever before.

They are now themselves attacked … by the US regime in their global quest against "antifa(scism)". 😠

The US fascists officially won't let them enter the USA anymore. The US nazis claim "censorship" as their justification. This is just the beginning.

Think about that: The USA is attacking civil organizations of a country (Germany) that once was one of its closest allies.

Hey, ! I just learned about ehrenamt which was described as a special legal status for those engaged in socially beneficial unpaid labor, "which provides tax benefits and relaxes requirements for receiving unemployment benefits". (From this: https://hachyderm.io/@papiris/115634929515585230 )

Could somebody who knows clue me in to what those tax benefits are and what the requirements are for receiving unemployment benefits that are relaxed for ehrenamt? This sounds like a *fantastic* idea, and I'd like to know more about the details, aber ich hab kein Deutsch.

🧳🇩🇪 Time to check in, at The Low Budget Hotel (Germany). We are sorry to inform you that there has been a problem with your booking 😱

Built in the 1960s in an east German spa town, this hotel closed around 15-20 years ago as two modern hotels opened, drawing guests away from older establishments. Many hotels closed in the town, and this hotel was actually among the last to succumb.

For those in who don't want troops in your country, well... these troops are currently being starved out by their own government
