#Germany announces to vote NO in the EU council on the *current* #chatcontrol proposal. I guess that the vote will be removed from the agenda tomorrow, to avoid bad optics. But it’ll also come back soon enough, with some minor changes. That’s what my experience with Brussels has taught me.

Two friends of mine got screwed by US immigration law and have to upend their lives to go back to Europe over a dumb technicality.
He's a brilliant guy with a PhD in #Physics (quantum physics and #optics) and experience working as a systems engineer for a company building optical inspection devices for wafer production, where he's had some incredible impact in the short time he's been there. She has PhD in #Physics who recently did a #biomedical postdoc on topics of brain diseases.
If anyone has some recommendations where they could #GetFediHired, preferrably in #Hamburg / northern #Germany, but definitely in the EU, I'd be grateful for pointers and would pass them along.
Germany will not tolerate antisemitism, no matter how many Jewish activists they have to arrest to do so.

Deported to Auschwitz from the Theresienstadt ghetto on 6 September 1943. He looked after children in the family camp for Jews from Theresienstadt. He perished in the camp on 8 March 1944.
