My quibbles here are entirely personal preferences about tropes and character arcs. People who enjoy stories of coming out, and of characters with low self-confidence slowly finding their feet, will likely find this even more enjoyable.

I would definitely read more by this author.

Amusing, but off the mark for me

Without spoilers, I’ll just say that I don’t resonate well with the central tension in this story. Outside of that, I though the humor was well done, and enjoyed the interactions with the side characters — I thought it showed a supportive and 3D social network.

My relatively low rating here is mostly because I don’t connect very well with celebrity tropes. There were several laugh-out-loud moments, but overall the miscommunication was just more than I enjoy.

I’d read more by the author, though.
