The Wishsong of Shannara is an epic fantasy novel by American writer Terry Brooks. It is the final novel in the Original Shannara Trilogy, with the other two being The Sword of Shannara and The Elfstones of Shannara. The story revolves around Jair and Brin Ohmsford, the children of the main characters from The Elfstones of Shannara: Wil Ohmsford and Eretria. The siblings, each possessing an inherited magic, must save the Four Lands from the evil magic within a tome called the Ildatch.

Review of 'The Wishsong of Shannara (The Original Shannara Trilogy, #3)' on 'Goodreads'

2 stars

Maybe not as bad as the two first volumes. Still a lot predictable. Very cliché.
Well, I guess I'm not a big fan of Shannara's writing. I will probably wait some time before I start another book from the series.

My biggest grip is about the siblings. Jair strictly does nothing during the whole book. He basically get bounced by events and pushed around by the others characters. Until the final confrontation. And all goes well for him.
Brin does not take many initiatives during the story neither, but every time she slips toward evilness.
Now that's a great moral!
