I expected something deeper/monumental, having known nothing about the book before. But for such an old book it is well written and the characters and love story are cute ☺️

Se partiamo dalla premessa che i romanzi d'amore non sono il mio genere preferito, le cinque stelline che attribuisco a quest'opera fanno comprendere quanto l'abbia trovata straordinariamente bella. Jane Austen è semplicemente perfetta nel tratteggiare non soltanto i personaggi, ma anche gli scenari in cui si svolgono le vicende ed a portare il lettore ad immedesimarsi nel vissuto dei protagonisti, il tutto con diffusa e leggera ironia. Un grande classico della letteratura, qui in un'edizione dalla copertina briosa e certo insolita.
