Better than the first one, more different characters and the story is becoming interesting. A lot of themes are inspired by other sci-fi books.

I quite enjoyed it. It is as fast paced story.
It is focused very much on the military side and does not care about the background and relationships of the cast.
For some reason most of the good aliens are female, so maybe there is hope for future relationships.
