This ribald, carnivalesque satire - featuring the Devil, true love and a gun-toting cat - was written in the darkest days of the Soviet Union and became an underground sensation. --back cover

Review of 'The Master and Margarita' on 'Goodreads'

"Review" more like "useless thoughts nobody cares about"

I had to read this book for a group presentation in my Russian literature class.

It was a fun book and I liked it more than "Heart of a Dog." I definitely laughed a lot more.

To be honest, I like the excerpts from the Master's novel a little bit more than everything else in the book.

I also watched the 2005 mini series and I swear, if I hear Woland's theme one more time I will lose it. It's still a great mini series though, do watch it!
