The most tender, shocking and outrageous love story ever told, LOLITA has been banned, burned, censored, denounced--and read by more millions than any other book of its kind. It is about a middle-aged man's tormented desire for his nymphet step-daughter. And a honeymoon without a wedding. And a romance as sweet as murder is innocent. And a murder. -back cover

I'm incapable of writing thoughtful and in-depth reviews so if that's what you're looking for, please continue scrolling by.

I've been meaning to read Lolita for a very long time. When I was in high school, a friend of mine did a presentation on it in English class and then I wanted to read it more than ever. Fast forward three years or so and I'm in university. I'm taking a Russian literature class with a couple of friends "for fun" and this book is on the reading list.

I just had to gobble it up.

Lolita is a beautiful and twisted book.

Nabokov is a genius.

That is all.

Also, I have absolutely no desire to write a quiz on this book next week please kill me.
