Review of 'Perfect Shadow (Night Angel, #0.5)' on 'Storygraph'

There are some writers who know how to grab your attention straight from the opening line through to the end, and Brent Weeks is one of them. His prose is excellent with the right touch of mysterious to keep making you want to continue. The switches between point of view are a difficult thing to pull off, but Brent Weeks seems to have figured out how to do it without completely throwing the reader off.

I've had his Night Angel trilogy on my shelf for some time now, so I decided I should read this short story before I dive into the trilogy. This is the origin story of Durzo Blint and has set things up perfectly for when I decide to start the trilogy, which is likely to be very soon.
