Review of 'Ancestral Night' on 'Goodreads'

I was intrigued by the premise but it turned out to be a slog for me. Too much navel-gazing from the main character, too much introspection. That slowed everything down way too much for my taste. Not sure I'm interested enough to finish this series.

Review of 'Ancestral Night' on 'Goodreads'

I liked this book, overall. I liked where it started, I liked where it ended, and I liked most of the stops it made along the way. But I didn't have what it takes to stay engaged through the third quarter. I'm glad I didn't quit, though. If you find yourself struggling after the halfway point, I'd encourage you to keep going to the end.
