This book is lovely. It's a very simple joy. The book covers themes of consent, of love, of parenting, of letting go, and of growing up, and making hard choices to look after those who rely on you.
All women will wish more men were like Sebastian. All mothers will feel the pain of loss his mother is coming to terms with.
We all need to learn that love means trusting, and letting go.
And we need to learn we can forgive ourselves as well as others.
I cried a lot at this story, and finished the last page feeling lighter and joyous.
