Enjoyable but a bit long and with invincible main characters

This was an enjoyable end to the Throne of Glass series, but I felt it was a bit long- this book alone is nearly the same length as Lord of the Rings. The main characters also have an aura of invincibility - rarely did I think their lives were truly on the line, and when they seemed to be in trouble something would suddenly happen to get them out of it.
