Joanna lives in a different version of reality: she's a 1970s feminist trying to succeed in a man's world. Janet is from Whileaway, a utopian earth where only women exist. And Jael is a warrior with steel teeth and catlike retractable claws, from an earth with separate-and warring-female and male societies. When these four women meet, the results are startling, outrageous, and subversive.
Didn't actually finish the book; gave up at about 61%. Didn't like it. Now I think there is such a thing as somewhat objectively bad books, but I'm sure this isn't one of them. I just didn't like it.
Très peu de souvenir de ce roman, mis à part son verbiage et son inconsistence : pas de trame narrative, pas de personnages fort, pas de décor marquant.
L'exemple même que la science-fiction n'est pas une littérature facile pour ceux qui s'y essayent naïvement.
