What a strange book. The story is very original and it's tinted with a lot of metaphisical stuff. Kafka Tamura, the main character is an unusual fifteen years old boy. He is very different to most people his age, he's original and isn't afraid of doing what he wants and being who he wants to be. I liked Kafka a lot. He's a really disturbed guy. But I liked him.

But I loved Oshima, that handsome guy who works in the library. He's just great, with his sassy personality and permanent smile towards Kafka. I fell in love with his character like I sometimes do in other books with other characters.

Saeki was a really sad character. Her melancholy only made me pitied her. The poor woman whose life only slips away to nothing.

I must say that I give the book four stars and not five, because of Nakata's …
