Sooner Dead delivers on a few crucial promises. It introduces the bizarre setting of Gamma World, a mashup of science fantasy, science fiction, and TTRPG tropes. It provides a gripping adventure. It presents characters that can abide by just enough of the game constraints to still be relatable and worth experiencing as they navigate a world forcing them into impossible situations.
