Review of 'The Woman Who Swallowed a Toothbrush' on 'Goodreads'

I really don't like the term "bizarre" as it almost implies inhuman. Unusual, that is, not the usual, might have been a better descriptor or even medical mysteries.

I read this book a while back and wasn't really motivated to write a book review because I'd read better; some of those books I have reviewed here and some I've read previously (but not reviewed especially Berton Roueché -- my introduction to reading medical mysteries).

As the title of the book implies, these are medical mysteries, none of which, I confess, I even remember. I just remembered while reading the book that it wasn't the best I've read but not the worst either.

There are other books out there that tackle the same kinds of medical stories but do it better. However, if you are able to snag a copy (as I did) on sale, by all means, give it a …
