SocProf reviewed What We Know about Grading by Thomas R. Guskey
Review of 'What We Know about Grading' on 'Goodreads'
2 stars
A quick read mostly because I skimmed what was more focused on K-12, which is most of the book. There is only one brief chapter at the end about higher ed, and it has a rather narrow focus.
For the most part, the book is a review of the research (sadly, too much of said research is really, really old, and it's not clear whether this stuff still applies). Most chapters repeat the same argument: there is a lot of variation in grading. Not much depth beyond that.
