Review of 'Twitter' on 'Goodreads'

This is a very short book that, I think, is more interesting in terms of methodology on how to study social networking platforms that for what we learn about Twitter per se.
The authors examine such defining features of Twitter as the @, the RT, and the # in terms of how they came to be (often imported), in a process of appropriation by the users who bring these features to Twitter, followed the company's adoption through the process of incorporation, followed by the unavoidable conflicts between users and platforms, or the process of contestation, and finally the process of iteration of the features from the platform.
This is an interesting and dynamic model but I wish there had been more to support it than a few quotes. alongside other sources.
Good but not great.
