"The Age of Wonder' is Richard Holmes' first major work of biography for a decade. It has been inspired by the scientific ferment that swept through Britain at the end of the 18th century, and which Holmes now radically redefines as 'the revolution of Romantic Science."

Review of 'The age of wonder' on 'Goodreads'

I wanted to like this book, and I should have, but, in the end, it just wasn't engaging enough to finish within 21 days, which is unusual for me. Having said that, things HAVE been going on with me, but in the end, I elected not to finish it.
