"In this graphic novel adaptation of Stieg Larrson's THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE, Mikael Blomkvist, crusading publisher of the magazine Millennium, has decided to run a story that will expose an extensive sex trafficking operation. On the eve of its publication, the two reporters responsible for the article are murdered, and the fingerprints found on the murder weapon belong to his friend, the troubled genius hacker Lisbeth Salander. Blomkvist, convinced of Salander's innocence, plunges into an investigation. Meanwhile, Salander herself is drawn into a murderous game of cat and mouse, which forces her to face her dark past"--

I was introduced to Stieg Larsson's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" via the American film of the same name starring Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist and Rooney Mara at Lisbeth Salander. To say I was taken by the movie is an understatement.

I immediately read all of the Millennium series by Larsson. Again, I was taken.

At some point, I became aware of a graphic novel adaptation of the series by Denise Mina. "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" graphic novel by Mina was excellent and "The Girl Who Played with Fire" was outstanding. As I read it, I was propelled back into the experience of reading Larsson's novel. The graphics are quick, the writing tight, and the adaptation true. It was exactly as I remembered it.
