mirihawk reviewed Guidebook to Murder by Lynn Cahoon

Hugely disappointing. By page 8 we have the fat shaming, woman hating author of this book not only belittling a woman named Bambi; but our heroine goes to have lunch with her best friend, orders a salad, food polices her friend's choice of a burger and fries, lusts after her friend's milkshake while telling herself she hates milkshakes and that she loves her plain unsweetened iced tea. Totally not paying attention to the fact that someone may be trying to make her business fail.
This is the kind of baloney that should not be written about people, and should not be held up to anyone as to how women behave with each other. This book is unreadable; I do not recommend, nor will I be looking at anything else this woman has written.
