Ce fut une excellente surprise. Le travail de Jen Wang, autrice américaine de renom, a déjà été auréolé d’Eisner Awards et d’un Fauve du festival d’Angoulême. J’ai apprécié son dessin rond et onirique et ses personnages qui se dévoilent avec bienveillance et douceur. L’histoire met en scène deux jeunes filles issues de la communauté asiatique aux États-Unis. Elles apprennent à se connaitre et finiront par se lier d’une amitié qui leur permettra de surmonter ensemble une pénible épreuve de la vie.
