speljamr reviewed Inside scientology by Janet Reitman
Review of 'Inside scientology' on 'Storygraph'
4 stars
A fascinating account of the core history of Scientology, from the early days of Dianetics, to the wacked out days of Tom Cruise. Janet Reitman has done a superb job documenting all that she could uncover during her investigation and research; and that is no small task considering how much the Co$ intimidates and threatens it's former members and detractors.
The most disturbing thing I found out while reading this book is how much more crazy David Miscavige is than L.Ron Hubbard. Hubbard was bat-shit crazy by the end, but Miscavige has him beat buy a long shot.
I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a good page turner. The writing is reporter smooth and keeps you engaged the entire time. The notes provide a good deal of extra information as well.
