I believe I got this book for free as part of a promotion on the Apple Books store. It’s in my wheel house but I’d not heard of it until I got a notification it was no charge.
I was surprised at how well I enjoyed it. It’s fantasy world of the afterlife, but every religion is involved. While it has elements of previous attempts at ‘grim reaper life’ like the old Showtime show which name is escaping me, it’s very different in its world building vs previous outings.
Yes it’s got lots of ‘pop culture’ jokes and whatever, I don’t expect high falutin’ writing all the time, tis a fun read and something to pass the time with. I’ll definitely want to follow on and see where things are going next.
