Review of 'Jericho' on 'Goodreads'

3 stars

Pleasant to read, it nevertheless also managed to bore me in the end. It's an idyllic small-town romance, with librarian Syd moving to the small town of Jericho to meet the local doctor Maddie and fall in love with her. Chemistry was good, but once the romance was established, it got too saccharine sweet and predictable for me. Not sure if I have the heart to pick up the sequel.

It was pretty well-written, so there's that.

3 to 3.5 stars.

I very much enjoyed this book. The author really takes her time in letting us get to know the characters - to include many of the members of the small community of Jericho. And there are a few good hat tips to Xena & Gabrielle; Jericho was initially posted online as a Xena uber.

Andy and I just got done recording episode 30 of Cocktail Hour and Ann McMan joined us to talk about the book. Her humor definitely comes through in the book. She was a blast to talk with!

She is currently working on a sequel to Jericho and her story Dust will be published in a month or so.

I do recommend Jericho if you enjoy a long romance with a good sense of humor.
