Picked this up at the library after being intrigued by the cute chicken on the cover. It surpassed my wildest dreams! A well told story about a queer vegan lady and her family and relationship and general life struggles. I did not realize how perfect this book would be for me :) I really like the art style and appreciate the understanding you get for what's going on with her. At points in the book I felt like I didn't understand some the other people's motivations or behaviors or thought processes (why would she say/do/think that???), but I totally knew where the main character was coming from. And that's the same feeling I get in those kind of scenarios in real life.
