Review of 'Becoming Dr. Q' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

Dr. Q is an inspiring story of someone who literally jumps the border fence then proceeds to work his way from migrant farmworker to doctor to preeminent brain surgeon. The book makes me want to make more out of my days and become a better scientist. However, Dr. Q's journey is charmed and far from what is typical. Though the story is certainly about achieving the impossible, it is certainly not a recipe for creating a sustainable and well rounded life.
