The physician

Abgesehen von ein paar Anachronismen bringt der Roman eine spannende mittelalterliche Geschichte mit hohem "Ich will wissen wie es weitergeht" Faktor. Hat mir sehr gefallen.

Easily my most favorite historical fiction. I read it as a teenager, and have re-read it multiple times since then. The story of Rob Cole who wants to become a real physician instead of merely a barber-surgeon, in the 11th century. In the guise of a Jewish man, he travels all the way to Persia to study in Isfahan.

Colorful and broad in scope, I highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in historical fiction. Of all the Cole Family books it's easily the most enjoyable one.
