More Information Than You Require is a 2008 satirical almanac by John Hodgman. It is the follow-up to Hodgman's 2005 book The Areas of My Expertise. It was released October 21, 2008. The full title reads:

The cover features John Hodgman holding a ferret, a reference to one of the "long cons" from The Areas of My Expertise.
You get exactly what it says on the tin. John will keep you entertained by explaining things in as silly of a way as possible. Occasionally, you'll wonder if the world wouldn't be better off if things actually ran this way.
I highly recommend the Audible.com version of this book. Hodgman and Jonathan Coulton (and many others, including Ira Glass and Sarah Vowell) are tremendously entertaining. I'm sure reading the print book is fun too, but the Audible audio book version is a performance you are sure to enjoy. Good stuff!
I wasn't sure how good this book could be after its predecessor already contained so much entertaining fake knowledge. But Hodgman proved he was just getting warmed up and still has plenty of lies to tell us. I enjoyed MORE just as much (if not better) than AREAS, and anxiously look forward to THAT IS ALL rounding out the trilogy.
