I don't know what I expected from this book, but I'm delighted to start this series. I've read books with characters "off the grid," but never as grounded as this one. I've read action-packed books, but never with combined with the horror elements of this one. Jack's relationship almost strained credulity in its intensity, but never quite became cloying. Goodreads tells me there are many more books with Repairman Jack, and I plan to read them all!
